Civil Litigation including property disputes, contentious probate, professional negligence and debt recovery. Holds the Diploma in Advanced Litigation.
Admitted as a solicitor in 1998, having originally qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1995, Tom joined Bowles &Co in 2011 and is Head of Litigation.
His work spans a broad range of cases - property disputes, commercial litigation, employment law, contentious probate, construction law, professional negligence and debt recovery. He holds the Diploma in Advanced Litigation and is a member of the Property Litigation Association, the Employment Lawyers Association and the Society of Construction Lawyers.
He comments "We understand that most clients, whether commercial organisations or private individuals, would prefer to resolve a dispute without resorting to litigation and without incurring major expense. My role is to review the facts and offer a frank assessment of the case and the likelihood of success. I prefer to think of our work as dispute resolution; there are many ways to resolve a dispute, and court proceedings should only be used in the last resort."
When not at work, Tom's time is taken up by his three children. A former International and County-level croquet player, he still finds time to follow this and other sports. If you'd like to discuss any litigation issues you may be facing, you can contact Thomas Browne by e-mail ThomasB@bowlesco.co.uk or call him on 01372 725241.
